Breakfast Republic Bringing Brunch Vibes to La Jolla - Eater San Diego

Breakfast Republic continues its steady march across San Diego with another location set to open in downtown La Jolla. The daytime restaurant is coming to the corner of Pearl Street and Draper Avenue, where it replaces Cruisers Gourmet Subs across from El Pescador.

At 1,800-square-feet, it’ll be the coziest Breakfast Republic yet, with a seating capacity of approximately 75 across the interior and the 250-square-foot patio.

This past May, Rise & Shine Restaurant Group owner Johan Engman rolled out a companion grab-and-go eatery call Eggies, which has opened alongside his existing Breakfast Republics in the East Village, Liberty Station, and Pacific Beach. The new La Jolla location will also include an Eggies, with its menu of breakfast sandwiches available via a sidewalk window.

The restaurant, which specializes in morning fare and brunch cocktails, is anticipated to open in early February 2021.
