Chocolate-Covered Cookie Dough Bites From Nestle Toll House, A Chocolate Lover's Dream, Coming Soon

The edible cookie dough craze took off recently, and Nestle Toll House was one of the first in-store brands to get into the game, with its offering of four flavors in pint containers: Edible Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Edible Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Monster Cookie Dough, Edible Fudge Brownie Batter and Edible Funfetti Cookie Dough with Candy Sprinkles.

According to a report by Best Products, the brand is now adding to that lineup, introducing a new Bite-Sized Edible Cookie Dough with a twist – there's no spoon necessary. The edible chocolate chip cookie dough, sold in a 20-ounce resealable bag, is covered in a rich chocolaty shell, and is safe to eat raw, the report said.

"These delicious, perfectly poppable bites make it easy to enjoy edible Nestlé Toll House cookie dough in snackable form. A combination of ready-to-eat chocolate chip cookie dough and a chocolaty shell, this treat is made with ingredients you can trust and includes no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives," the report noted, citing press materials.

When and where will they be available?

According to the report, a PR rep confirmed to Best Products that Nestlé Toll House Bite-Sized Edible Cookie Dough will be coming to select Sam's Club locations beginning in October 2020, and will sell for $9.98. In 2021 they will expand to additional retailers, the report said.

45+ Delicious Cookie Recipes To Try Out This Weekend

By Stacker of Stacker

In 1939, Ruth Wakefield decided to experiment with the cookie recipe she'd been using at her Massachusetts restaurant, the Toll House. She added a few Nestle Semi-Sweet chocolate chunks to her batter, and wound up with a treat she called the "Toll House Crunch Cookie."

Today, 7 billion chocolate chip cookies are eaten in the United States annually. About 50% of them are homemade. But if creamy chocolate chunks aren't really your thing, there are plenty of other options to satisfy your sweet tooth. Stacker compiled a list of cookie recipes from Allrecipes. Sweet Pastry Dough
  • Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in the bowl of a food processor and pulse 3 times to mix.
  • Add the very cold butter pieces and pulse at one-second intervals until the butter is mixed in.
  • Add the egg and pulse until the dough forms a ball on the blade of the processor.
  • Turn the dough out of the food processor onto a floured surface, and carefully remove the blade.
  • Flatten the dough into a disc. Wrap with plastic wrap and chill for 15-20 minutes.
  • Roll out pie dough and place it into your pie baking pan.
  • Refrigerate until needed.
  • Pie Filling
  • Preheat your oven to 325
  • Beat the eggs in a large mixing bowl for 3 minutes until foamy
  • Beat in sugars, then add the room-temperature butter and mix until very well blended.
  • Add the flour to the mixing bowl, and using the beater bar of the mixer, mix just until incorporated. Don't over-mix!
  • Mix in the walnuts and chocolate chips to the batter and mix just enough to blend in the chips and nuts.
  • Pour the batter into the pie shell. Smooth the filling with a rubber spatula.
  • Bake the cookie pie for 50-55 minutes or until firm in the center.
  • *Don't worry it will look like it is getting too dark; it's just the top crisping up. If you prefer a lighter top, cover it with foil when it begins to darken.
  • Let the pie cool for 30 minutes on a wire rack (or for as long as you can wait) and top it with ice cream or whipped cream and enjoy!
