Funnel Cakes With Poached Pears
While the pears are cooking, make the funnel cake batter. Whisk together the milk, egg and vanilla extract. Put the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large bowl and mix well. Slowly add the milk mixture, whisking with a balloon whisk until smooth. Set aside.
Strawberry Milkshake Funnel Cake
In one smooth motion, squeeze out the mixture in layered rounds, making sure that the batter connects to itself so that it has something to hold on to. It should look like a spindly doughnut. Fry for roughly 1 minute on each side, or until golden-brown.
