Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 10, 2020. We all know how much mom does for her family, so now is your chance to show her a little appreciation. Show thanks for mom with a takeout family brunch or dinner from a favorite local restaurant, or a special Mother’s Day package.

1. The Chanler in Newport

The Chanler in Newport has created a Mother’s Day dinner menu as part of their larger ‘Mansion At Home’ takeout and delivery program. Newport locals can bring a taste of the property’s fine dining to their own dining rooms. The upscale three-course Mother’s Day menu offers various choices per course, including a house-cured salmon tart, spring onion soup, artisan lettuces or an ancient grains salad as a starter; pork loin, Wagyu ribeye, chicken confit pasta or North Atlantic cod as an entree choice; and Valhrona chocolate cake, rhubarb panna cotta crumble, mango sponge cake custard or ice cream for dessert. Dinner for one is $50, two is $95, for four is $10 and for six is $265. There’s also a children’s menu ($30 per child) and a list of wines by the bottle available for purchase. Orders must be placed by Thursday, May 7 at 6 p.m. (available by pre-order only). Additional info on timing and ordering can be found on the website here. The Chanler is also proudly supporting the Women’s Resource Center this Mother’s Day by donating meals to current residents and their children on Sunday, May 10.

2. The Crowne Plaza Hotel

The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warwick is hosting a Mother’s Day dinner to-go. The menu includes a tossed garden salad, chicken marsala, baked stuffed shells with marinara sauce, roasted potatoes, a seasonal vegetable medley, rolls and assorted mini pastry. The package is $100 to feed up to five people, and $175 to feed up to five people with double the servings. Bottles of wine are available for purchase for $20 each. 3. Easy Entertaining

Easy Entertaining is offering three separate catering packages to cover brunch, lunch and/or dinner for mom as well as flowers in partnership with Weatherlow Farms and Moonrose Farm and virtual spa treatments for at-home pampering from Alayne White Spa. The Mother’s Day menus include Mom’s Breakfast in Bed with artisanal chive and cheese frittata, take-and-bake cinnamon buns and fresh fruit ($49 for four, add on breakfast sausage for $12 and a bottle of Spanish cava with white peach puree on the side for $26 more). Mom’s Picnic Lunch includes pesto chicken salad, classic Caesar salad, Greek Orzo and pastries ($59 for four and add on a bottle of wine for $20). Dinner for Mom’s Night Off includes a shaved asparagus, arugula and Parmesan salad, fresh foccacia and a choice of beef tenderloin or creamy lobster rigatoni with a build-your-own trifle kit for dessert ($109-$149 with luxurious options for when the kids go to bed). Kids meals can also be added. Floral bouquets from Weatherlow Farm and Moonrose Farm as well as virtual spa kits from Alayne White are available for purchase only if added on to at least one food package purchase. All of these options can be ordered for safe, contactless pick up. Mother’s day packages can be picked upon Saturday, May 9 and all guests will be offered a designated pick up time upon confirmation. Floral bouquets are $20 for a small and $40 for a large. Alayne White’s at-home spa treatments include everything you need for a hand and foot treatment, shower ritual and a head-to-toe revamp. 4. Fluke Newport

Fluke Newport is offering a special takeout dinner for the family for Mother’s Day. Order by Monday, May 4 for pickup on Saturday, May 9 or Sunday, May 10. The menu includes a starter choice of baby arugula salad or white asparagus soup; family-style roasted salmon and roast beef with truffle cream sauce, sauteed baby spinach and mushroom medley; grilled asparagus and potato confit. There’s also a choice for dessert, including chocolate chip cookies or butterscotch budino. The package is fit for a family of five (or with leftovers) for $250. On Sunday, Fluke will also offer the regular curbside pickup menu in addition to the special Mother’s Day menu from 1-5 p.m. Call 401-849-7778 to place an order.
