Spooky! Dunkin's Halloween lineup also includes the return of the spider donut
Available until December, the sweet-meets-spicy treat is certainly a first for the chain.
'Halloween looks a little different this year, and so do our donuts,' Jill Nelson, Vice President, Marketing Strategy at Dunkin', said in a press release.
'While our classic bakery offering has plenty of crave-worthy treats, we’re excited to show our spicy side with a donut that packs a touch of heat with something sweet and can be enjoyed any time of day.'
To celebrate the special release, Hot Ones host Sean Evans will challenge himself to answer questions while eating the new donut in a new episode on October 19.

Fun! The chain is also debuting a Halloween DIY Donut Decorating kit, which comes with plain donuts, colorful icing, and sprinkle blends that customers can assemble themselves
Dunkin' is also encouraging customers to surprise their friends with the unexpectedly spicy dessert, and share their reactions on social media with the hashtag #DunkinSpicySide.

Spice things up! Earlier this year, Edible Arrangements released limited-edition chocolate-covered strawberries sprinkled with ghost pepper fakes

Hot! Each chocolate-covered strawberry was covered in ghost pepper pieces, which are 100 times hotter than jalapeño
Earlier this year, Edible Arrangements, the company known for its edible bouquets of fruit, spiced up Valentine's Day with a limited-edition Love on Fire Box included six strawberries that were dipped in chocolate — and then sprinkled with spicy ghost pepper flakes.
The unusual treat was certainly not for romantics looking for a mild night — and may have proven a bit dangerous if things got spicy in the bedroom later on.
Each chocolate-covered strawberry was covered in ghost pepper pieces, which are 100 times hotter than jalapeño.
But, as Edible Arrangements points out, that spicy capsaicin triggers feel-good endorphins and dopamine.
The special strawberries went on sale on February 10 for $19.99 and were available while supplies lasted.
The company also sold a Burning Love Bouquet that featured chocolate-covered strawberries sprinkled with spicy chipotle chili flakes.
